Getting the Tooth Ready
Either your dentist or a member of your dentist's staff will place a
rubber sheet called a Rubber Dam around the injured tooth. A couple of
small clamps will hold the Rubber Dam in place and make it easier for your
dentist or endodontist to work, and more comfortable for you. You may
receive anesthetic (or "freezing"). Once the tooth is isolated
with the Rubber Dam, your dentist or Endodontist will make an opening into
the tooth to remove the damaged pulp.
